Using the card made easy (PDF)
Once your card is created you simply print out the card page and bring the printed page with you to the pharmacy. Once at the pharmacy please present them with the printed page. The card has your static identification number along with all of the PBM required pharmacy numbers. Your pharmacy will input your information into the computer where your permanent records will be kept. Once the information has been stored by your pharmacy you no longer need the card because your records are in the Pharmacy's computer. Each time you return to the pharmacy you will get the plan's appropriate discount. Store your card/printed page in a safe place. You are required to pay the pharmacy in full for your discounted price.
When ever you change pharmacies or go to different pharmacy your new pharmacy must put your information in the computer. You have two options.

Generally "yes", but refer to your contract of insurance for specific answers.
YourRxCard produces the greatest discounts on generic drugs, up to 75% on some scripts. After you have satisfied the out of pocket payments of deductibles, your insurance policy should pick up the charges, but you must supply proof of expenses paid for the Rx. This also applys to name brand and mail order prescriptions. Generally speaking your insurance vendor or PBM should have a prescription claim form that would be signed, completed, and submitted by mail from the insured to the insurance company. These claim forms are used for covered members who have lost there prescription rx card or forgotten their cards when they have purchased rx drugs. The insurance vendor is usually obligated by contract to pay the covered percentage. (30 years ago this was the industry standard) In YourRxCards case, the expenses are probably less than what would normally be submitted by you. This should produce less expense to the customer and less expense to the insurance company, which should produce a reimbursement payment of the prescription claim.
Only if your contract of insurance excludes out of "network purchases" would a purchase not be covered. So please refer to the contract of insurance and read the exclusions.
So again the answer is generally "yes"
YourRxCard.com is a very good product, one that you can feel good about and have confidence with the final results.
